Conclusion/Recommendation:
Collect cost data to understand the additional cost of modified strategies implementing multiple rounds at different intervals and different population targets
Action:
This recommendation has been shared by the Program Team with countries implementing modified treatment strategies. Few countries have conducted modified strategies, so cost data is not yet available. TT (5/8/2023): The national program of Ethiopia has developed a TOR and hired a consultant to follow up all interventions happening under the modified strategy and produce detailed report as per the recommendations of the TEC.

Collect information on the feasibility and community acceptability of modified treatment strategies
Action:
This recommendation has been shared by the Program Team with countries implementing modified treatment strategies. Few countries have conducted modified strategies, so information on feasibility and acceptability is not yet available. TT (5/8/2023): The action stated for 26.2.1 will serve the purpose for this recommendation.

Conclusion/Recommendation:
TEC congratulated the national programs of Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania for their extensive efforts to coordinate MDA across borders to reach migratory populations previously missed through regular MDA activities.
Action:
This recommendation was shared at the East Africa cross border meeting and with the Kenyan MOH in person.

Conclusion/Recommendation:
TEC requests a presentation from national program managers on how they use coverage tools (and other program tools) during the TEC 28 meeting

The program managers from Kenya and Tanzania will be present at TEC 28 to present on program tools.

26.4.2 - TEC suggested the following agenda items for the TEC 28 meeting
Conclusion/Recommendation:
Reports from the national programs in the first 6 countries implementing modified strategies on their experience, ideally including information on key indicators comparing pre-modified to post-modified implementation. Examples may include: increase in the number of supervisors from X to Y; increase in the number of treatments from X to Y; measures from BCC strategies. TEC recommends supporting NPCs during the ITI-supported Regional Meetings to identify a useful common set of indicators to be reported on in the future.
Action:
ITI is working with national programs to share lessons learned during the early phases of implementation at TEC 28 (and 29). Suggested indicators have been suggested through presentation templates provided to national programs.

TEC recommends a letter of appreciation be sent by ITI Management on behalf of TEC to the EFDA, thanking the Ethiopian government for their flexibility in accepting near-expiry POS
Action:
A letter of appreciation was presented to the Federal Minister of Health by the TEC Chair in February 2022.

TEC accepted the revisions to the Charter as presented, and ITI will share the final version (flagging any additional changes) once Pfizer has formally agreed to the edits.
