10.25.1 - Tanzania
Conclusion/Recommendation:
Work on increasing coverage, aim for 100%
Action:
During ITI’s country visit to Tanzania this past September, ITI staff met with Dr. Upendo and discussed the low coverage in some of the program districts. Feedback was that current census data may not accurately represent the target population and as a result the coverage rates are low. Further research is required.

Conclusion/Recommendation:
SPA to work with the National Trachoma Task Force to generate a map with list of districts for which there is no partner to be presented at TEC 11.
Action:
This task is still in progress. Tanzania could benefit from the forthcoming funding gap maps proposed by the WHO, as well as the ICTC costing tool and planned modeling of treatment strategies at UCSF, in particular for the 5-9 districts.
